This file is an exact copy of an APRSdos .HST track history file. This makes it easy to build. Using APRS, you just move the cursor around on the map and use the INPUT-ADD command to mark the locations you want to be in the file. The only important parameters are the location of the cursor and the name. Just hit enter for all others. The raw .HST file will look like this (the standard .HST format): test1 +192158z3851. N/07701. W/object test2 +192159z3859.5 N/07653.1 W/object test3 +192159z3854.55N/07616.15W/object Then bring this file into an editor and simply insert a three digit LOCATION number in front of each line and a comma separator 001,test1 +192158z3851. N/07701. W/object 002,test2 +192159z3859.5 N/07653.1 W/object 004,test3 +192159z3854.55N/07616.15W/object Then resave the file with the name of POINTS.TBL. Notice that you can put any kind of text into the file in any format (like these words for example). The only thing that APRSdos searches for is the first 3 bytes, looking for a 3 digit number match to the desired point. AMBIGUITY: Notice that "test2" and "test3" locations have 600 foot and 1 mile ambiguity. This then asures that multiple D7's that report their position at that location will be randomized somewhat within the ambiguity circle and will not all be on top of each other. They are easy to resolve as you zoom in.
